Hello, good to meet you.

Amy Flynt LMT, BCTMB

It’s good to see you here! I’m so glad that you found this space. Here’s a little bit more about what I offer. My approach is trauma-informed, with each session co-created around your needs. Whether you are looking for focused therapeutic pain relief, support through life transitions, or simply a space to rest, soften, and reconnect with yourself.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of supporting thousands of people on their healing journeys. My practice is grounded in advanced training, blending nurturing presence with precise, therapeutic techniques.

I’m a nationally board certified and locally licensed massage therapist. I’ve been in professional practice since 2001, but have had warm hands since birth. I always joke that I have my Nonna’s hands, and that feels true. From an early age I was drawn to touch as a way of soothing, connecting, and caring for others. That sense of warmth and intuition has been at the heart of my work for over two decades.

I currently live in Fairlington with my partner, our wildly creative 10 year old and a cat and dog who think they are people. They may be right. I occasionally try my hand at gardening and you may find some of the herbs and flowers from our patio in the clinic. I especially love making lustral bowls to set intention & help ground us in our session. I’m happy to show you how to do that too. They’re super great for bringing in light and the natural world.

Prior to moving my practice to Vital Body & Mind I worked in an acupuncture clinic for about a decade offering complementary care to patients. I love holistic bodywork and it is something I’m grateful to have found as a way of supporting people and my own expression. It’s really lovely stuff and it makes me happy to share this with you.

I’m always looking for a new method to blend in as the body needs so many different things. I’m thankful for all of my teachers in providing a fullness of guidance, emotional support, and solid technique to bring to the table.

Massage therapy, to me, is a beautiful weaving of modalities that help restore balance to body and mind. Our appointments will be a blend of techniques to suit where you are in the moment. I honor your inner knowing  and value your feedback so we can craft the healing session that is right for you.

I specialize in a wide range of modalities, including: Deep Tissue & Relaxation Massage, Prenatal, Labor, and Postpartum Massage, Abdominal Therapy (also known as Mayan Abdominal Massage/Arvigo Therapy), Craniosacral Therapy  & SomatoEmotional Release , Intraoral/TMJ/Buccal Massage, Cupping Therapy, Reiki, & Hot Stone Massage.

As a lifelong learner, I am continually deepening my studies in the field of healing arts. Currently, I am training to become a certified Peristeam Facilitator through the Steamy Chick Institute, with additional study in Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute, Reproductive Health, Gender-Affirming Care, and in the near future Manual Lymph Drainage with the Chikly Institute.

At its heart, my work is about creating a safe, restorative space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered in your own healing. I look forward to sharing space with you.
